Tom Silveroli incorporates the language of fashion as figurative sculpture into his work. He feels this gives his work a broader pallet and subject matter.
In bas-relief (from Italian "basso-relievo"), the sculptured design projects only slightly from the surrounding surface and there is little or no undercutting of outlines.
From an early age, Tom was drawn to the classics, the Greeks, the Romans and the Renaissance. This love of classical art led him to study sculpture and drawing.
